La-z boy

There was a time
I used to read
books and newspapers,
advertisements & annual reports
study guides and trivia material

And then came a time
I stopped
to read

Now I scan
blogs
because I can

the internet is a repository
but one blog to me is satisfactory

redff, hindu and deccan
can’t appease
which one blog can
give me a strong title and I am pleased

Don’t get me wrong Am a avid reader, if not a voracious one. Heck! I even cancelled my newspaper subscriptions and resorted to reading the happenings on e-papers! Then came the blogs, sifting, selecting, stocking surprising, shocking and simple stories. Why then?

Yawn!

The Monk, Heroes and Kahlua

The day is spent.

Marathon sessions of the quirky Adrian Monk at what he does best, mumbling and solving cases. Kahlua, on-the-rocks thank you very much. And a first look at Heroes, on their quest to save the world.

Monk does air on India tele and I had watched the season 1. Was pretty much hooked onto it. Underdog that I am, I am for the underdog, Sucker!

Anyways, as I have given away my tele and have substituted it with socialising (read: hit the pubs and guzzle on beer while staring at the tele at the bar) I welcomed monk with unblinking eyes.

Kahlua – Sip on it.

Heroes. Well what can I say, am watching it for the first time and have started from episode 5 of Season 1. Heck, I tuned in a little late but that’s OK, I have visualized all the previous episodes just by reading the synopsis of the episodes on IMDB.

I like Hiro (Nakamura). Underdog anyone? Hope to see the Indian character soon.

Save the cheerleader (Yeaaaaaaaah, hooo hooo). Save the world, just as well.

2007

Happy New Year.

Stayed in on the eve, was pouring outside. Had no company except for the 2 corona twins. S called on the dot. A good beginning, if I may say.
